About InsideStox

One question drives everything we build: when a company executive quietly puts a large chunk of their own money into their own stock — and that's not their usual behavior — what do they know?

The premise

Corporate insiders are the best-informed investors in any stock they touch. The law requires them to disclose every trade, but those disclosures land in a firehose of filings — thousands of Form 4s a week, most of them routine compensation noise. The rare, genuinely informative buys get buried.

InsideStox exists to un-bury them. We're not interested in every insider purchase — only the anomalies: the CEO who has never bought a share suddenly writing a seven-figure check, the CFO and General Counsel buying the same week, the chairman quadrupling his usual purchase size into a drawdown. History says those are the moments worth paying attention to.

What InsideStox is

  • Automated. A scanner reads the freshest SEC EDGAR Form 4 filings every trading day, filters out the noise, scores what remains, and publishes the result — no cherry-picking.
  • Transparent. The full methodology is public, every signal links to its underlying SEC filings, and our track record — wins and losses alike — stays on the scoreboard for a rolling 90-day window. Signals move to the archive after 30 days and age out entirely after 90, when their results no longer say much about today's market.
  • Independent. No sponsored placements, no pay-for-coverage, no positions taken ahead of publication.

What InsideStox is not

It is not investment advice, a newsletter of stock picks, or a promise of returns. Insider buying is one signal among many — a strong one historically, but stocks flagged here can and do go down. Every signal we publish includes the caveats we found, not just the bull case. Read the full disclaimer before acting on anything you see here.

What's next

The archive and scoreboard are free for everyone — that's deliberate, since the track record is what you should judge us on. Full access to live signals — company names, insiders, transactions, and theses — is a membership at $9.99/month or $99/year. Premium features on the roadmap: earlier signal delivery, email alerts, and deeper per-insider history.
